Coriole Mary Kathleen Reserve Cabernet Merlot 2011

This delicious Cabernet Merlot was named after the family matriarch, Mary Kathleen Lloyd, one of the founders of Coriole and is made from three small, select vineyards on Coriole’s estate.
 
Fruit for this blend (65% Cabernet and 34% Merlot) was picked from their vineyard located in the Seaview sub-region of McLaren Vale, where the oldest vines date back to 1919.
 
Deep red black in the glass, this blend displays a regionally intense mix of blackcurrant and lifted alcohol on the nose. The palate is rich and glossy with an immense core of black fruit supported by equally rich and very long tannins in fine balance.
