Small percentages of the classic Bordeaux blending varieties of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot were added to increase the complexity and personality of this wine.
In the winery: Separate batches from two vineyards were fermented on skins, then matured for 18 months in French oaks.
In the glass: Deep red.
On the nose: Cassis, plum, mint, cedar and tobacco.
On the palate: Powerful yet refined with fine tannins underpinning the saturated core of black fruits. Subtle hints of bay, mint and tobacco linger on the long finish.
