With some of the oldest vines on the Mornington Peninsula, Garry Crittenden has been at the forefront of producing alternate varieties for many years. Tempranillo is the major grape of Northern Spain’s Rioja region and in Spanish terms this wine has been made in the ‘joven’ or youthful style. This means it showcases vibrant fruit characteristics, unencumbered by sweet or toasty oak.
It exudes fragrant red fruit, earth and forest floor aromas. Clean, plush, soft and velvety, it has earthy mushroom flavours over a ripe core of red fruit and a terrific velvety mouthfeel.
