David Hook Shiraz 2012

This lovely smooth Shiraz comes from low-yielding 20-year-old vines on David Hook’s Pothana vineyard at Belford in the Hunter Valley.
 
This medium ruby to plum coloured Shiraz has a nose characterised by light red berry and earth aromas with a pretty spice lift. The palate is light bodied but has juicy plum, blueberry and cherry notes and a nice smooth texture. White pepper spice notes lift the palate and some stalky tannins add to the complexity.
