While Hunter Cabernet is often in the shadow of Shiraz, in the hands of a talented winemaker and in the years when the rain holds off late in the season, the later ripening Cabernet can shine.
 
In the glass: Deep red purple.
On the nose: Really fragrant, fresh and clean aromas of leaf, raspberry and sweet plum.
On the palate: Rich yet medium weight, velvety and long with a mouth-watering mix of black fruit flavours, fresh acidity and well-judged oak.
