The winner of three Gold medals so far and crafted by winemaker Mike De Iuliis, this Limited Release Shiraz was made using the De Iuliis Wines’ ten best barrels from the outstanding 2011 vintage in the Hunter. Classic Hunter Valley in style, it will further reward with careful cellaring.
Aromas of red berry, earth, herb, saffron and black pepper lift open this Shiraz. The palate is medium to full in a juicy style with a ripe yet elegant core of red berry and cedary spice. It shows terrific balance with ripe tannins and a complex, layered finish. A seamless and elegant wine in an almost Burgundy style and one that will age beautifully in the medium term.
