Deep Woods Estate is perched high on a ridge in the heart of Margaret River, which unfolds into a secluded valley bound by stands of jarrah and marri trees; hence the name. This is a classic regional blend comprising 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Merlot, with a dash of Cabernet Franc added for complexity. It was matured in French oak for 16 months prior to blending.
Sweet berry and cassis aromas over cedary spice and mint introduce a ripe, juicy, regional palate with plush layers of plum and blackcurrant fruit along with notes of licorice and crushed leaf. It has a juicy texture, fine tannins, savoury acidity and good length.
