This Sparkling Merlot is plump, sweet and ripe - a veritable crowd-pleaser! From their Lucindale vineyards, first planted in 1989, this Di Giorgio Limestone Coast gem has a fine bead and exudes ripe fruit aromas and flavours.
The Di Giorgio family have been working the land since arriving in Australia from Italy, back in 1952. Their knowledge and understanding, handed down through the generations, results in wines that are a true representation of the vineyards from where they are sourced. This Sparkling Merlot is a wonderful deep ruby in the glass with a pale pink rim. The nose is sweet with plum, earth, tobacco, blackberry and bakers spice aromatics. Sweet and ripe, the palate has loads of plum and forest fruits flavours over hints of tilled earth and tobacco leaf. It has great fruit depth and a lingering tannin grip.
