As recently as 10 years ago there were virtually no plantings of this Italian variety in Australia. That there are now many is testament to its suitability here.
Deep purple. Liquorice, bay leaf, blackcurrant and braised meats. Rich and concentrated with masses of black and purple fruit, alongside concentrated anise and amaro notes, surprisingly gentle tannins and a rich, juicy finish.
