Elderton Estate winemaker Richard Langford says experiencing a Mediterranean-like climate they have found great results in allowing the fruit to ripen significantly on the vine producing delicious wines like this 2011 Merlot.
Deep garnet in the glass, this Barossa Valley Merlot exudes lifted violets, black fruit, graphite, earth and olive aromas. The palate is softly textured with layers of juicy dark fruit power, plum and mulberry fruit with notes of chocolate and olive over cedary oak.
