This is a ‘Pool’ worth diving into! It’s a crisp young Chardonnay from James Halliday rated five red star winery, Fonty’s Pool, in Western’s Australia’s Pemberton region.
Bright pale gold in the glass, it features sweet fruit aromatics with underlying mineral and slate. There’s lots of crunchy nectarine fruit on the palate, lemony acid and nicely integrated oak. Very fresh, youthful and crisp at this early stage, but will fill out with time in the bottle.
