Home to Fowles Wine vineyards and winery, the Strathbogie Ranges is characterised by massive granite boulders that have given rise, over millions of years, to the sandy loam soils in which their vines grow producing fruit with great intensity.
 
Deep brick red in the glass, this 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a savoury nose offering aromas of briar and tilled earth, while the alluring palate features layers of raspberry, rhubarb, mocha and coconutty oak in support. This is a very appealing wine with good depth of fruit and a soft tannin finish.
