Although better known for its Shiraz, the Hunter Valley can produce excellent Cabernet when the vineyard and vintage conditions are right, and this is a great example.
Medium red with a brick hue. Plum, mocha, liquorice and old leather aromas. Quite traditional, with a flavoursome core of blackberry, dark chocolate and toasted vanilla, with touches of charcuterie, crushed herb and tobacco, fine tannins and spicy oak.
