Irvine Spring Hill Pinot Gris 2016

I've always enjoyed the style of Pinot Gris that Irvine make. It not only gives ripe fruit flavours and a backbone of refreshing acidity, but it has a smooth and velvety texture.
 
In the glass: Pale yellow with a light blush.
On the nose: Sweet apple and green pear lift with some talc and floral notes.
On the palate: Complex, mealy fruit entry – quite rich and textural with a juicy core of pear and stonefruit and lovely acidity providing freshness and elegance. True to style, it’s plush and generous.
