Katnook Estate presents wines with ‘subtlety, intrigue and complexity,’ reflecting their unique terra rossa soil. While Coonawarra is famous for Cabernet, Sauvignon Blanc thrives there too and Katnook has vines dating back over 30 years.
Pale lemon green colour in the glass, their 2012 vintage presents a nose of passionfruit, citrus blossom, fresh grass and tomato vine. Ripe and racy fruit flavours of passionfruit, grapefruit and gooseberry dominate the palate, giving the wine a mouth-watering freshness, while in the background there are some grassy, herbal notes.
