The St George Vineyard is named after Surgeon Major-Hinton St George, who purchased a portion of the Coonawarra Fruit Colony subdivision in the early 1900s, and continues to produce exceptional wines like this 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon.
A dense inky purple in the glass, this superb Cabernet boasts fragrant blackcurrant, violets, and dried mint aromas with lingering tilled earth notes, and hints of deluxe oak. A classic example of elegance and power, the palate is driven with blackfruit and cassis, layers of dark chocolate, tobacco and black olive with tilled earth and cedar oak. Vibrant acid energises the entire palate and sauve tannins are intermingled through out.
