It can take a few years in bottle to tame Coonawarra Cabernet's hallmark tannins, so it was a pleasure to find this perfectly aged example that's drinking close to its peak.
Medium to deep brick red. High octane black cherry, with developing notes of leather, graphite and gun smoke. Inky and dense with terrific tension and structure, long and deep black fruits, balanced with iodine-like tannins and savoury cedar oak.
