Mewstone Pinot Noir Magnum 2016

This Pinot Noir comes from a winery run by two brothers who take pride in creating wines that express the characters of a single site and were named ‘Best New Act’ at the 2018 Young Gun of Wine awards.
 
In the glass: Medium to dark red.
On the nose: Raspberry, blood plum, forest floor and cedar oak perfume.
On the palate: Attractive whole bunch spice under strawberry, beetroot and dark cherry fruit with savoury tannin foundation, well-judged oak and fresh acidity.
