The Alpine Valleys wine region was officially recognised in 2000, but seeing the potential much earlier, the pioneering Michelini family have been growing grapes there since 1982.
Deep brick red colour. Pretty aromas of potpourri, cedar, white pepper and red berries. Medium-weight, savoury and dry, with a bright core of red berry fruit, crushed herbs and wood smoke, tight acidity, well-judged oak, and a long, dry finish.
