Mount Pleasant Lovedale Semillon 2007

Hunter Valley

The site of the Lovedale Vineyard was selected in 1939 by legendary Mount Pleasant founder and winemaker, the late Maurice O’Shea. The vineyard was planted after World War II, in 1946, and the first Mount Pleasant Lovedale Semillon was made in 1950 - 57 years later, this stunning 2007 vintage was crafted by sixth generation winemaker Scott McWilliam.
In the glass: Still-vibrant medium gold green.
On the nose: Lifted citrus blossom and citrus peel with secondary custard apple and toast adding complexity.
On the palate: Intense and refined. Ageing beautifully with complex preserved lemon depth, delicious mouth-watering minerality and lingering citrussy acidity. A class act showing what aged Hunter Valley Semillon is all about.
