2014 is said to be one of the best vintages the Hunter has seen in over 50 years and this Gold medal-winner confirms our collective excitement.
In the winery: Hand-picked and machine harvested fruit was destemmed into open top fermenters, cold soaked, fermented on skins for 11 days, with time in French oak.
In the glass: Deep red.
On the nose: Pepper, leather, tobacco, clove and dark cherry aromas.
On the palate: Savoury and mid-weight in an elegant frame with cherry and plum fruit, touches of black tea, kitchen spice and cigar box, fine tannins and a long savoury finish.
