Murray Street Vineyards Viognier 2011: This pale to medium straw coloured Viognier delivers appealing aromas of sweet apricot, paw paw and tropical fruits. Obvious Viognier varietals flow through from the nose, but without the heat or oiliness sometimes associated with the variety. Very dry with firm acidity and a sherbet-like finish. Delicious with chermoula prawns on zucchini cakes.
Murray Street Vineyards Shiraz 2010: Dense dark red in the glass, this Shiraz presents aromas of sweet plum and raisin over cedary oak. It has a lovely intense palate with ripe berry fruit and savoury spice flavours finishing with fine mocha-like tannins and persistent length. Overall, it leaves an impression of full, mouth-coating Barossa power. Bring out its best with a match of slow cooked osso bucco with gremolata.
Murray Street Vineyards Cabernet 2010: Full, inky red coloured Cabernet appeals with lifted minty, curranty and regional earth aromas. Dense, earthy and regional, it has a rich core of dark fruit and a good backbone of acidity. Rich, youthful and savoury with strong minty varietals adding interest.
