Although not widely planted, McLaren Vale is the ideal area for Zinfandel, with its warm ripening temperatures in summer, and cooler nights.
Deep, dark red. Very ripe blackberry and liquorice aromas. Jubey and concentrated, with a core of cherry compote, blueberry, mocha and anise, fine yet deep tannins, creamy oak, and a juicy, tongue-straining finish. Very varietal.
