Penfolds RWT Shiraz 2009

Penfolds RWT Shiraz is made from fruit primarily selected for its aromatic qualities and fine texture rather than sheer intensity or power of flavour. The result is a wine that helps to define Barossa Shiraz at the highest quality level.
 
In the glass: Glossy deep red with a magenta rim.
On the nose: A complex amalgam of exotic spices, cured meats, dark fruit and French oak perfume.
On the palate: Plush, deep and long with a typically rich mix of plum, blueberry, charcuterie and juniper with deliciously peaty oak supporting its core. Tannins and acidity are beautifully balanced and drive the long, moreish finish.
