The lights dim, the curtains part … allow us to present one of Australia’s hardest to perfect varieties, assembled here in a collection of success. Enjoy delicious Pinot Noir from respected producers!
Josef Chromy Pepik Pinot Noir 2011 is a more feminine-style Tasmanian wine with a smoky, toasty, savoury nose. Its palate is light and dry yet intense with strong varietal cherry flavours, a touch of herb and stewed rhubarb complexity; very youthful with vibrant acidity providing length.
Also enjoy the Tulloch Cellar Door Release Pinot Noir 2010, a light to medium red coloured gem from Victoria’s Beechworth region with a sweet and aromatic nose of florals, cinnamon and boiled lollies. It’s earthy and savoury with a lovely texture and tannin structure, and is assertive and youthful with a good core of red fruit and a long finish.
Another highlight is the Barwick Estates Pinot Noir 2011 – it shows classic smoky, forest floor aromas with strawberries and herbal hints. The palate has a sweet berry and plum fruit entry followed by a gamey structure and complexity.
