In 1970, Sandalford was one of three initial pioneers of the Margaret River wine region when the first vines were planted at its 300ha Wilyabrup vineyard.
In the glass: Pale lemon straw.
On the nose: Melon, peach, almond meal, nougat, toast and flint.
On the palate: The fruit, oak and acidity work seamlessly together while a nutty layer adds complexity. Savoury, with almost spicy lime-like acidity and a long finish, it’s a great example of the traditional, richer style.
