Not a widely planted variety in Australia, but Primitivo, or Zinfandel as its also known, makes a wine with rich fruit and spice notes that will appeal to Shiraz drinkers.
Medium ruby garnet colour. Dark cherry, blackberry, dried herbs, earth and milk chocolate. Flavoursome and well developed with a bold and intense mix of plum jam and cassis, sinewy tannins, well-integrated oak and a mocha-like finish.
