Soumah Single Vineyard Shiraz 2011

Soumah, a family-owned producer in the cool Warramate foothills of the Yarra Valley, is a single vineyard site with a focus on varieties from Burgundy and the Northern Rhône.
 
This deep dark red coloured Shiraz exudes lifted oak, dark cherry and spice aromas. The palate is characterised by flavours of licorice spice and sour cherry. It has savoury tannins, medium depth of fruit and a medium weight finish. This represents a great result from what was a very trying Yarra Valley vintage.
