Australia’s Apple Isle is a genuine contender to Champagne’s crown for Sparkling of character, purity, and sheer quality, and this pack proves why with party-starting Tasmanian crowd-pleasers for just $28 a bottle.
Valued at $50 RRP, the Delamere Sparkling Cuvée 2014 from the Pipers River sub-region is an elegant Sparkling that the Battle of the Vines described as “rich and complex, with beautiful stone fruits and honey and a lovely, lingering minerality.” 100% estate grown and produced, it’s an opulent number made in the Traditional Method by young winemaker Shane Holloway, that especially shines when enjoyed with richer canapés like mushroom and taleggio arancini.
Another fine example of Sparkling Tassie style is the Cape Bernier Chardonnay Pinot Noir Cuvée Brut 2012 (RRP $42). Deliciously deep, rich and complex with ripe peach, melon and fig fruit harmonising with sweet honey and toasty development, it’s a layered Sparkling that still remains fresh, with terrific flavour length and drive. Sublime with smoked salmon and cream cheese blinis, it’s a great demonstration of winemaker Andrew Sinclair’s skill.
Partake in pure prestige with great value Tassie Sparkling, ranging from RRP $32 - $50, and save $60 on some of the best party-starters around!
