Two Hands’ Brave Faces blend comes from their Picture Series, which is their “premium collection of varietal wines that deliver regional and varietal distinctiveness packaged under unique and irreverent names and personalities.”
The Shiraz was pumped over three times daily through the peak of fermentation, whereas the Grenache and Mataro, after a few days cold soak, were pumped over and plunged rigorously through the peak of fermentation. The Grenache was fermented with 20% whole bunches. All pressings were added back to the free run.
A perfumed nose of raspberry, violets, red jubes, fresh herbs and white pepper spice leads to an intense, spicy palate with a lovely velvety texture. Sweetly-fruited yet savoury showing all varieties with good balance and texture.
A lovely, elegant wine.
