Umamu Estate Ann's Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

From a 1997-planted parcel that really shone in the 2011 vintage producing a superb, age-worthy wine that’s drinking close to its peak.
 
In the glass: Inky dark red.
On the nose: Dusty dark berry, dried herb, mocha and a hint of lanolin.
On the palate: Youthful red and black fruit with fresh herb and spice complexity and cedary oak giving savoury appeal. Still fresh acidity and layered with velvety tannins followed by a clean, dry finish.
