Yalumba Galway Vintage Malbec 2012

Continue Shopping

As Yalumba’s Robert Hill-Smith describes, “Malbec has been growing in the Barossa for a long time, used as an unsung hero in many blends. It’s great to be able to show it off now as a single variety.”
In the glass: Deep red purple.
On the nose: Mix of dark berry with foresty undertones and notes of violet, mint and liquorice.
On the palate: Fresh and youthful with inky varietal dark fruit richness tempered by a refreshing line of acidity. Grunty tannins provide structure, oak is restrained and the finish is spicy and persistent.

Brilliant Argentinean Alternative

Written by Stephen Hoskins 18/06/16

A well structured, full bodied and zingy fruit-held wine brilliant with meats and cheeses. A rare find!
