While most of our wine influences are French, there is one great varietal that hails from the hallowed hills of Germany – Riesling. This noble white wine stands alone in its ability to produce styles from dry, crisp and citrussy through to sweet, full and luscious, and you can explore its colourful history on APT’s amazing 15-day Rhine, Rhone and Moselle Treasures cruise.

Departing from Amsterdam, you’ll cruise through the heart of Riesling country on the iconic Rhine and Moselle rivers with stops in ports such as Cologne, Bonn, Andernach and Heidelberg and enjoy activities such as visiting the famous Namedy Castle for dinner and a classical piano recital, a guided bike ride along the Moselle River and a walk along the historic Philosopher's Path.

There’s even a day excursion to the infamous Black Forest to visit the open-air museum and a trip to Colmar to enjoy the Alsatian Wine Route. And, of course, there’s great food and wine to be enjoyed from degustation dinners to lunches in the sun.

The Germanic leg of your cruise ends when you cross the border into Switzerland and disembark in Basel, then journey via Lake Geneva to Lyon to board the next APT ship for the second leg of this incredible cruise through the iconic Rhône wine region.

As an introduction to France, you’ll be treated to a superb dinner experience at L’Abbaye de Collonges, founded by French chef, the late Paul Bocuse. And the food and wine adventures just keep coming.

In the Beaujolais region, enjoy a tour and tasting at a local winery, indulge in a truffle farm experience in Vivier, visit the famous Pont du Gard for a guided tour and a tasting of local produce and wine, followed by a cocktail reception. Take in views of the ancient Roman aqueduct as you are entertained by local musicians.

For food and wine lovers, this is the cruise of lifetime.
