MY MARKET KITCHEN - MEET THE CHEFS

MATT SINCLAIR

From an early age, Matt Sinclair knew he wanted to create something unique with his food. Growing up in the suburbs of Sydney, his family influence in the kitchen moulded his passion to create home cooking with a twist.

Matty spent over a decade working in hospitality. Here he evolved a curiosity for the industry, and the desire to work with food as a career. This saw him audition for Series 8 of MasterChef, where he quickly became a household favourite, triumphing as the 2016 runner up.

Shortly after, Matt’s dream to own a successful food truck business came true. He established his business at the Eat Street market in Brisbane with his business partner. The quick growth and success saw their business grow into a fully-fledged restaurant in Noosa on the Sunshine Coast.

 

TOBIE PUTTOCK

Chef, author and media personality, Tobie Puttock has cooked around the world and worked closely beside Jamie Oliver on projects including 15 and Australia’s Ministry of Food.

Tobie began his cooking career at Melbourne’s Café e Cucina, before traveling to Italy to work at the beautiful Hotel Florence. He then travelled to the UK to work at the famous River Café, cooking alongside a young Jamie Oliver, before further work in Italy and Switzerland. In 2002 he was made Head Chef of the first Fifteen restaurant, then in 2005 returned to Australia to establish the Fifteen Restaurant and Charitable Foundation in Melbourne.

Besides authoring five best-selling cookbooks, Tobie’s career has included hosting and cooking on Jamie’s Kitchen Australia, Foxtel Lifestyle’s Tobie and Matt – Europe and Asia, several years as a Guest Judge with Channel 7’s My Kitchen Rules, resident chef for Channel 9’s Healthy Cooks, and presenter for My Market Kitchen on 10.

Now living in Melbourne and with a plant-based food focus, Tobie is creatively sharing new recipes and a healthy approach to the kitchen with works like SuperNatural.

 

WINE SELECTORS - MEET OUR WINE EXPERT

ADAM WALLS

For over a decade, Adam served wine and developed wine lists in restaurants and hotels in both Australia and the UK, solidifying his love of all things vinous and planting the seed for further wine exploration.

After returning to Australia following his international experiences, he worked for Tower Estate in the Hunter Valley before joining Wine Selectors in 2010.

An active associate judge at wine shows around the country, Adam was awarded the Fellowship at the 2015 Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show, and went on to complete wine-based training in both Europe and Australia, earning himself a WSET Diploma in Wine and Spirits in the process.

Awarded Dux of the prestigious Len Evans Tutorial in 2019, in 2020 he was named co-Chair of the Wine Selectors Tasting Panel alongside esteemed winemaker PJ Charteris, where he continues in his passion of uncovering great Australian wines to share with the public.

A regular fixture at food and wine events as well as on Channel 10’s My Market Kitchen, if Adam was a wine, he would be a Barossa Shiraz – big, generous and undeniably popular!
