Taste of Tasmania 2019 - 2020

Wine Selectors is attending Taste of Tasmania to host Boutique Winemakers of Tasmania - a cellar door offering a carefully curated selection of local wines available for tasting and purchase. Wine lovers can check out delicious drops from Beautiful Isle Wines, Chartley Estate, Holm Oak Vineyards, Cape Bernier, Iron Pot and Sharmans Wines. Each day, a different producer will be on hand to share their story and reveal why Tassie is producing some of the world's best wine.
Feeding Frenzy
Taste of Tasmania is championing the region's best producers and up-and-coming vendors by showcasing 100% Tassie-made food and drink. The line-up promises an eclectic mix of flavours from all over the world.
Highlights include authentic Taiwanese street food, sea urchin dumplings, Iraqi beef kubba, fantastic fruit pies, sourdough doughnuts and a great selection of plant-based selections for foodies who support ethical eating.
Drinks-wise, the Apple Isle is renowned for its cider and whisky, so come along and sample a range from local small-batch distillers. There's even homegrown Absinthe perfect for curious consumers. Plenty Cider is a new producer offering unique blueberry and apple and Rizza ciders. Beer lovers can head over to the Can Bar for daily tastings and to meet the independent brewers behind the beverages.
New Year's Eve
This is the big one! 65 Artists are performing across 5 Stages over 7 sensational hours backed by 70 stallholders to satisfy your cravings. With stunning views of Hobart harbour and a fireworks display to rival the best, it's an event not to be missed.
The soundtrack reworks your favourite songs from the '70s, through to today. Expect to hear hits from the likes of Beyoncé, Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse, INXS, Johnny Cash, Fleetwood Mac and more. Each artist promises to bring something special for Hobart's night of nights.
To help kick off the celebration, award-winning winemakers Josef Chromy will top up your glass with a free pour of sparkling upon arrival.
