Spanning July 22-25, this bespoke food and wine escape, hosted by publisher Paul Diamond, commences with canapes and wines curated by Wine Selectors. Afterwards, check in to your King Room accommodation, relax on your private deck and get some rest before the weekend commences in earnest.

On the Saturday, spend some time in the pool after breakfast or join one of the many ranger-guided experiences on offer before the Native Flavours Masterclass – an exploration of Indigenous food and wine matches, showcasing a host of local Australian flavours and ingredients, including salt and pepper crocodile, kangaroo croquette with  rosella onion jam, and seared emu with wattleseed jus. Then, wind down with a sunset cruise along K’gari’s western bay, soaking in the island’s golden glow.

Sunday sees you hitting the trails with a Beauty Spots 4WD tour, visiting the top attractions of this World Heritage-listed island in the air-conditioned comfort of Kingfisher Bay Resort’s custom-designed coaches. From gorgeous Lake McKenzie to Pile Valley’s awe-inspiring satinay and brush box forests to the famous 75 Mile Beach highway, the wreck of the Maheno and the coloured sands of the Pinnacles, you’ll explore the fullest splendour of K’gari – including a refreshing dip in the relaxing, fresh waters of Eli Creek. 

A Sunday evening feast awaits you on your return to the resort at the recently renovated Seabelle restaurant, the island’s signature dining experience with a five-course degustation dinner designed to bring the best of the island’s ingredients to life, enjoyed with more exceptional Australian wines to cap off your final night on K’gari in style – one more reason this exclusive, privately hosted retreat is not to be missed.
