6 Best Rosé Cocktail Recipes
Rosé is one of the go-to wines for Australian wine lovers, and it’s no wonder – dry, crisp and delightfully fruity, it’s a refreshing option for both red and white wine drinkers. Not only is it delicious as a wine, but it’s also a wonderfully diverse option to feature in fabulous wine cocktail recipes.

1. FROSÉ RECIPE
The only thing that could make Rosé better on a hot summer’s day is some extra chill! This super easy-to-make Frosé recipe is just the thing to keep icy cool by the pool. It makes five to six servings.
Ingredients
1 bottle Rosé
1 lime, juiced
2-3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 punnet strawberries (250g)
1½ tablespoons rose water (optional)
Fresh mint and lime wedge to garnish
Method
1. Divide the Rosé into two large ice cube trays and freeze overnight for at least four to five hours. The Rosé will not freeze completely but should feel quite solid.
2. Hull and halve the strawberries and add to a blender.
3. Add the frozen Rosé, lime juice and rose water to the blender and blend until smooth.
4. Gradually add the brown sugar and blend until the sweetness cuts through and balances the acidity of the lime juice and the Rosé.
5. Serve in either a Martini or wine glass and garnish with fresh mint and a wedge of lime.
2. STRAWBERRY ROSÉ RECIPE
A Strawberry Rosé takes the light, fruity pleasures of Rosé and adds a vodka and sweet berry twist for a drink that is sure to become a regular fixture at your summer festivities. This recipe makes five to six servings.
Ingredients
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
½ cup basil leaves (rinsed)
1 punnet fresh strawberries
8 teaspoons vodka
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 bottle Rosé
Method
1. Add sugar, water, and basil leaves in a small saucepan to prepare basil-infused simple syrup. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 1 minute, then remove
from heat and let steep for 30 minutes. Strain into a jar and let cool.
2. Hull and halve strawberries, then muddle a strawberry in a shaker.
3. Add vodka, lemon juice and 2 ½ teaspoons basil simple syrup and ice to the shaker.
4. Shake well and pour into a cocktail glass with ice.
5. Top with chilled Rosé and garnish with a fresh strawberry slice.
3. ROSÉ MARGARITA RECIPE
Combine refreshing Rosé with the tart and sweet flavours of a traditional margarita and a hint of elderflower, and you have a most delectable cocktail guaranteed to impress. This recipe makes two servings.
Ingredients
½ cup Rosé
4 tablespoons tequila
¼ cup fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons elderflower liquor
1-2 teaspoons agave
¼ cup margarita salt optional
¼ cup freeze-dried strawberries finely crushed
4 fresh lime wedges

Method
1. Mix the margarita salt and crushed freeze-dried strawberries together in a wide-mouth shallow bowl. Use two of the lime wedges to wet the top of a glass. Dip each glass into the salt mixture to rim the glass. Add ice to each glass.
2. Put ice and all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Drain the margaritas between the two prepared glasses.
3. Garnish each glass with a lime wedge and enjoy.
4. ELDERFLOWER ROSÉ SPRITZER
The popularity of spritzers has gone gangbusters and one sip of this Elderflower Rosé Spritzer will have you joining the fan club in no time. This recipe makes five to six servings.
Ingredients
150ml of elderflower liqueur
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
½ cup basil leaves (rinsed)
6 lime wedges
Sprigs of mint to garnish
1 bottle Rosé
1 bottle of soda water, sparkling water or lemonade

1. Mix the bottle of Rosé, elderflower liqueur and lemon juice in a large jug.
2. Place crushed ice in each glass and pour in the Rosé mix, then top with your choice of soda water, sparkling water or lemonade.
3. Garnish each glass with a wedge of lime and a sprig of mint.
5. ROSÉ MARTINI
Deliciously boozy and perfectly pink, this Rosé martini cocktail is a delight to serve any day… just because. This recipe makes one to two servings.

3 raspberries
5 mint leaves
30ml simple syrup
45ml citrus vodka
30ml lime juice
45ml Sparkling Rosé
Ice
Extra mint sprig and extra raspberry to garnish
Method
1. Muddle the raspberries and mint with the simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
2. Add the vodka and lime juice, fill with ice, and shake until well-chilled.
3. Strain into a cocktail glass.
4. Top with Sparkling Rosé and garnish with a sprig of mint and a raspberry.
6. ROSÉ SOUR

45ml Pisco
7 ½ ml Strega
30ml mandarin cordial
15ml fresh lime juice
15ml egg white
4 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
30ml Sparkling Rosé
Mint sprig

Method
1. Add all the ingredients except the Sparkling Rosé and ice to a cocktail shaker and shake well.
2. Add ice to the cocktail shaker and shake until chilled.
3. Add the Sparkling Rosé to a highball glass and strain the cocktail mixture on top.
4. Top with crushed ice and garnish with a mint sprig.
