“Battle of the Vines”

Who makes Australia’s best wines?

At Wine Selectors, we like to make wine fun, accessible and interesting, so when we heard about a new TV series that promises to do just that, we couldn’t wait to get on board!

“Battle of the Vines”, launching on Food Network Australia from June 12, is a wine series like no other. Each episode, two of the hosts will put forward three wines each from different states, at three different price points, and ask everyday wine-loving Australians to judge which one is best.

To make sure there’s no state bias, all the wines will be tasted blind, just like our Tasting Panel does when they’re curating selections for you. Speaking of which, two of our Tasting Panellists, Adam Walls and Dave Mavor, will be part of the judging, offering their expert opinions and personal preferences.

Plus, more of the Wine Selectors crew got involved and put their wine knowledge to the test, including Selector publisher Paul Diamond, Justin from our Customer Service Team, and Dan F, Dan M, Brent, Jake and Julie from our Cellar Door Teams. Keep an eye out and see how many you can spot!

Each episode features a different wine style, starting with Sparkling, then it’s Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Cabernet, Great Whites and Sexy Reds.

Of course, as a wine-lover, you’re not going to be satisfied just sitting there watching other people have all the tasting fun! That’s where we can help – all the wines featured on “Battle of the Vines” will be available exclusively through Wine Selectors.
