GIANT STEPS SEXTON CHARDONNAY 2023
Giant steps is one of the finest producers in the Yarra Valley, making superb Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and this Sexton Vineyard is a stunner. Deluxe barely begins to describe it: deep gold in the glass, with very complex aromas of struck match, citrus, fig, melon and toasty oak. Refined yet complex, juicy yet delicate, with limey acidity: a benchmark Yarra Chardonnay.
Pairing and cellaring
Summer poultry dishes and/or seafood. Cellar for 3–5 years.

The aromas of this wine are embodied with fine and complex autolytic characters of dried yeast, baked bread, Vegemite and umami, sitting atop of sweet and sour lemons, limes and apples. Full, long and complex, with a moreish, savoury edge, and pretty, well constructed layers of generous green apples, lemons and figs. A true special occasion wine.
Pairing and cellaring
Made for pairing with oysters or sashimi. Cellar up to 5 years.

"SUBLIME SOIRÉE"
DE BORTOLI ANCIENT SOILS TEMPRANILLO TOURIGA 2024
Well weighted, yet elegantly framed with a very fine, silt like tannin structure, the palate is medium to full bodied with an appealing mix of black cherries, sarsaparilla, blackberries and black plums. A surprising, delicate fruit core adds to this stunner’s appeal as a dinner party favourite.
Pairing and cellaring
Barbequed lamb or roast beef with all the trimmings. Drinking great, but will really shine in 3–5 years.
