Sagrantino is one of the most robust and tannic grape varieties in the world. It hails from the southern Italian region of Umbria. It’s not widely found but is hard to forget.
Medium brick red. Mature aromas of leather, tobacco, black olive and cedar. Fully developed and mature, with seamless integration of plush fruit, rustic secondary characters, supple acidity and integrated oak. An aged red drinking at its peak.
