In the winery: After fermentation in small hand-plunged open fermenters, it was aged in French oak for 14 months.
In the glass: Dark brick red.
On the nose: Plum and raspberry fruit lift with stalky, peppery spice.
On the palate: Lusciously sweet and spicy, supple, juicy, savoury and complex showing youthful red and dark berry fruit, sweet vanillin oak, white pepper and bay leaf and chalky tannin persistence.
