Made by Hunter Valley winemakers Usher Tinkler and Andrew Leembruggen, this Reserve Syrah is a single vineyard wine from the Caraluma vineyard near Canberra, made in a very hands-on, small-batch way with deluxe oak treatment.
Feminine and elegant, the nose offers a lifted mix of black fruits, elevated white pepper spice and subtle vanillin oak. The palate is velvety, smooth and unmistakably cool climate in style, with a powerful, yet elegant mix of spicy blackcurrant, a faint meaty complexity and toasty vanillin oak in support.
