Mike De Iuliis normally blends his small parcel of Hunter Pinot Noir with Shiraz, a style made famous by Maurice O’Shea at Mount Pleasant. However, in 2017 the Pinot was simply too good to blend away!
In the glass: Bright pale ruby.
On the nose: Delicate aromas of strawberry and cherry.
On the palate: Displays juicy texture with fine, silken tannins and layers of fresh cherry, raspberry and strawberry characters. It’s a lighter bodied style of Pinot Noir, which is varietal and savoury and features excellent persistence.
