It might seem like a quirky name – it’s the merging of the two founders’ surnames – but Dowie Doole is a serious McLaren Vale producer making memorable wines like this elegant Cabernet.
 
This full red Cabernet has a deep, brooding nose with lifted plum and currants and hints of spice, mint and earth. There’s amazing depth of fruit on the palate with generous black fruit power yet its tannins are soft and supple and the wine shows elegant line and length.
