Eldredge Reserve Malbec 2015

With a particular interest in less mainstream varieties such as Sangiovese and Malbec, Leigh Eldredge purchased the Eldredge property in 1993 and set about crafting small batches of premium alternative-style wines.
 
In the glass: Full, dark red.
On the nose: Currant, plum and cedar.
On the palate: Full-bodied, dense and layered with a black fruit core, terrific texture and mouthfeel, a juicy yet rustic tannin finish, and long, velvety Xmas cake-like persistence.
