Forest Hill Vineyard Estate Malbec 2012

Malbec has long been hidden away in Cabernet blends, but now it’s being made as a straight wine with superb results, especially from the West!
 
In the glass: Bright medium red.
On the nose: Fragrant plummy lift with notes of cherry and light oak.
On the palate: An attractive new world example of the variety with sweet layers of plum, mulberry and rhubarb, an earthy complexity and appealing length. Medium weight and elegant with intense fruit and barely perceptible oak.
