Irvine Spring Hill Merlot 2013

This Merlot from Irvine, masters of the variety, was named after their Springhill vineyard located in Eden Valley, where a portion of the fruit for this wine was grown.
 
In the glass: Medium red black.
On the nose: Strong black fruit and briar with lashings of kitchen spice and deluxe oak.
On the palate: Delicious medium-bodied balance showing red berry and briar throughout. Gentle fruit and tannin supported by deliciously deluxe oak length.
