Cool climate viticulture provides many challenges, however with management practices tailored to their Tasmanian site, Josef Chromy are are able to consistently produce fruit of exceptional quality to make delicious wines like this 2012 Pinot Noir.
Crafted by winemaker Jeremy Dineen, this Josef Chromy Pinot Noir is bright medium red in the glass and opens with aromas of black cherry, dried herb, sweet spice, earth and leaf litter. Silky, long and poised, the palate is showing layers of raspberry and black cherry interwoven with notes of leaf, sweet spice, stalky tannin and assertive yet quality oak. All components will continue to integrate with further time in the cellar.
