Deep garnet colour with a tawny rim, this Shiraz presents notes of coffee, leather, smoked meats and antique cedar with hints of red plums and raspberries. Elegant with a silky mouthfeel, the palate has ripe mulberry and raspberry flavours matched by licorice and chocolate notes with some smokey cedar in the background. It has developed soft tannins, but still has mouth-watering acidity that lifts all the flavours before it and carries them throughout the long finish.
