Margan Vineyards Merlot 2012

The latest release of Margan Merlot, with its almost Pinot-like structure, looks set to continue this wine’s critically acclaimed tradition.
 
This is a young, light and fresh red that has a nice core of raspberry and red berry fruit flavours with good acid and tannin integration. It’s almost Pinot-like in weight and structure with a good lick of supporting oak. Drinking wonderfully now, but will also benefit from careful cellaring.
